Pixies "Bossanova" 2024-04-12 through Epitaph Records

through Epitaph Records

The band has just released their first new album in nine years

wielding anthems like a flaming sword

which balances the shouter style of mid-century legends like Lloyd Price with a smoother

seems bound to have a good deal of stylistic variance built into the formula (or lack of it)

Pixies "Bossanova" 2024-04-12 through Epitaph RecordsThe fourth album from the pixies from 1990. it is regarded as their most tame work. and to a certain extent this is true. it does have more melodic, quieter track, but this does nothing to diminsh the overall power of the album. the melodies were the sweetest yet, just check out 'alison' or 'havalina'
