Dr. Brendan Walsh

Dr Brendan Walsh is a Senior Research Officer at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Trinity College Dublin.
His research focuses on health and social care system planning, with published work on healthcare access, costs, inequalities, and long-term care for older people.
He is co-developer of the ESRI Hippocrates Model, which projects future health and social care demand and expenditure. Brendan has also led studies on the impact of COVID-19 on residential care and is joint principal investigator on research supporting the Commission on Care for Older People with colleagues from the London School of Economics.
