One of the world’s most influential scientists, Professor O’Neill is widely recognised for his passion for communicating science and making complex topics accessible and engaging for all. As Professor of Biochemistry at Trinity College Dublin, his pioneering work in immunology places him among the top 1% of researchers globally.
Professor O’Neill is not only an award-winning scientist, receiving honours such as the Science Communicator of the Year Award and the Royal Irish Academy Gold Medal for Life Sciences, but also a best-selling author, broadcaster, and motivational speaker. He has contributed scientific insights to global media outlets including Sky News, The Washington Post, and Channel 4, and is a familiar voice on Irish radio.
