UCC survey re families impacted by Covid
Thursday June 18, 2020We are contacting you to request your participation in a project, known as ERiC (Engaging Remotely in Care), conducted by staff at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University College Cork.
The aim of the research is to investigate the impact of the Covid-19 restrictions on family/guardians/close friends of residents currently living in Residential Care Facilities (RCF) and identify strategies being used to support engaging remotely in care. This information will help to inform the development of communication solutions for the future.
As part of the project we are seeking the perspectives of Family/guardians/close friends of current residents in your Care Facility.
To access the opinions of family/guardians/close friends we are requesting that you distribute the below email invite, on our behalf, to members of the Residential Care Facility ‘contacts/mailing list’ of current residents. Please note bereaved family/guardians/close friends should be excluded from receiving the invite and link as questions may evoke feelings of sadness.
If there are family/guardians/close friends that you believe could complete the survey but do not have an email address, please let us know and we can facilitate completion over the phone.
If you would like more information or if you have any questions, please contact research leads, Dr Nicola Cornally [email protected] OR Dr Irene Hartigan [email protected].
