National Arts In Nursing Homes Day Award 2023
Monday January 16, 2023We’re delighted to announce the National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award, in partnership with Age & Opportunity is returning and is now open for 2023.
One award of €1,000 and two awards of €500 will be made to three successful applicants to coincide with the annual National Arts in Nursing Homes Day.
The awards will support new arts projects / initiatives / events that will nurture the artistic and creative potential in our residents and demonstrate how the arts contributes to their overall wellbeing and care.
This represents an excellent opportunity to engage with an artist to undertake a unique artistic project to engage residents in a fulfilling and joyful manner.
We’re urging activity coordinators / nursing homes to seize the opportunity this presents. The closing date for submission of entries is 5pm, Friday 24th February.

The third National Arts in Nursing Homes Day will take place Friday 26th May, as part of the annual Bealtaine Festival.
Once again, we will be encouraging nursing homes to mark the role of arts in our nursing homes by hosting an event to participate in and commemorate the Festival.
